An 86-year-old Kansas castle sits atop a hill near Lindsborg.
The hill, Coronado Heights, has been a much-loved destination for generations.
I recently created a video about the history of Coronado Heights, which includes scenic views I recorded from the castle’s second floor.
Coronado Heights Park is currently owned and maintained by the Smoky Valley Historical Association.
Inside the castle, a plaque thanks Dr. Duane Fredrickson for serving the Smoky Valley Historical Association and Coronado Heights Park.
More information on Coronado Heights is available from the Smoky Valley Historical Association, Kansas Sampler Foundation, and kansastravel.org.
