Robot Wants Justice, the final game in Robot Wants It All, is a work of political allegory that criticizes Trump’s immigration policy.
I discussed the game’s political commentary, and Trump’s immigration policies, in my first video on Robot Wants Justice.
After my analysis, I completed the Easy Map of Robot Wants Justice, after collecting all of the game’s collectables, in less than 3 minutes and 5 seconds.
Here are my prepared remarks for the video, along with links to some of my sources.
“In June 2019, the US news media reported on serious overcrowding and unsanitary conditions at migrant detention centers on the U.S. southern border.
At the time, lawyers for the Trump administration argued in federal court that they were not required to provide toothbrushes and soap to children in federal immigration custody.
Progressive Democratic Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortes described these overcrowded detention centers as concentration camps, a term that gained traction among progressives.
President Trump rose to power by demonizing Latin American migrants and oversaw a cruel and unconscionable immigration policy, which at one point involved removing children from their migrant parents as part of a policy to deter illegal immigration.
American conservatives regularly and unfairly demonize illegal immigrants, many of whom have traveled to the US to pursue asylum claims.
I believe Congress should dramatically increase the number of Latin Americans who are legally authorized to immigrate to the United States, rather than rely on heavy-handed immigration enforcement that has been the norm in the United States for many years, across several administrations.”
On his podcast, “Why is this happening?” Chris Hayes discussed the global history of concentration camps with historian Andrea Pitzer.
It’s a great episode that’s definitely worth a listen.
Anna
Lind-Guzik, a Jewish historian, wrote an editorial
for Vox in June 2019, where she defended using the term, “concentration camps,” to describe migrant detention centers at the US-Mexico
border.
In my Need for Speed Run, I played the Easy Map of Robot Wants Justice without collecting the game’s collectables.
I completed the Let’s Play in less than 2 minutes and 10 seconds.
In the video, I also read about several enemies in Robot Wants Justice.
The Classic Map of Robot Wants Justice is maddeningly difficult, and I haven’t been able to complete it without using cheats.
So, I recorded a speedrun where I used all of the game’s cheats.
In my All Cheats Run, I completed the game in less than 4 minutes and 10 seconds.
I also mentioned several additional reasons I strongly dislike Trump, who I hope is never again elected president of the United States.
Even though it’s not relevant to whether Trump should hold political office, his hair is not a toupee, as the game asserts.
