During the
2020 Presidential Primaries, I decided to collect and organize buttons.
My
grandmother has a button collection that includes an original “I Like Ike”
button from Eisenhower’s presidential campaign.
Many great
and interesting candidates ran in this year’s presidential primary contests.
My
five favorite candidates were 1) Bernie Sanders, 2) Elizabeth Warren, 3) Andrew
Yang, 4) Pete Buttigieg, and 5) Bill Weld.
Buttons for
these campaigns feature heavily in my collection. I also have a button for Tulsi
Gabbard, another 2020 presidential candidate.
My
collection includes many buttons from the annual Smoky Hill River Festival,
which is held in my hometown of Salina, Kansas.
My button collection
is already fairly impressive, but I’m sure it will only continue to grow.
