Epic Battle Fantasy

Matt and Natalie battle various foes in Epic Battle Fantasy, which was originally released in May 2009.

The classic flash game has recently been rereleased as part of the Epic Battle Fantasy Collection, which is available on Steam for $8.

The collection features the early games of Matt Roszac, the creator of the Epic Battle Fantasy series.

Many years ago, I played the original Epic Battle Fantasy game online, but I died while fighting its final enemy, Zombie Goku.

The game only had a few checkpoints. After I died, I was sent back to the last checkpoint, and I had to play through much of the game again.

Once again, I died fighting the final boss.

I repeated this process several times, over the course of a few days, and I wasn’t able to defeat the final boss.

Eventually, I decided to return to the game, but I had forgotten what it was called.

Several years later, I rediscovered the series, and I finally beat the first game.

Last month, I published a Let’s Play of the Steam version of Epic Battle Fantasy on YouTube.

In my introduction to the first video of my Let’s Play, I shared my first experience with the original flash game, but I forgot that I had eventually gone back and successfully beaten it.

In the steam version, Roszac renamed Epic Battle Fantasy's final enemy to Zombie Roku, to avoid using Goku, a Dragon Ball character who is someone else's intellectual property.

Epic Battle Fantasy is a fun, if difficult, turn-based role-playing game.

You can watch my five-part Let’s Play in the videos below.
