Zeck elected to Kansas School Board

Danny Zeck, a social conservative with deeply problematic positions, has been elected to the Kansas Board of Education.

Zeck (R), a former member of the Leavenworth Board of Education, defeated Jeff Howards (D), a veteran and former civilian educator for the US military, to represent District 1 on the Kansas School Board.

Both Zeck and Howards are residents of Leavenworth, Kansas.

The incumbent, Janet Waugh (D) was ineligible to run for reelection because she was redistricted out of the first district.

Zeck defeated Howards by 23%.

Zeck received 61% of the vote, and Howards received 39%.

I covered the State School Board race, and Zeck’s horrible positions, on Meticulous Musings.

I endorsed and voted for Howards.
