Davids strongly favored to retain the Kansas 3rd

In the Kansas 3rd Congressional District, incumbent Democrat Sharice Davids is running against former Kansas Republican Party Chairwoman Amanda Adkins.

The Kansas 3rd Congressional District includes Kansas City, Kansas, and Overland Park.

In 2014, Kevin Yoder (R) beat Kelly Kutala (D) by 20%.

In 2016, Kevin Yoder (R) beat Jay Sidie (D) by 11%.

In 2018, Sharice Davids (D) beat Kevin Yoder (R) by 10%.

Over the past six elections, a Republican has won the Kansas 3rd Congressional District 4 times and a Democrat has won 2 times.

The district, since 2008, has been voted R+10% on average.

But incumbent Democrat Sharice Davids is the clear favorite to win this year.

FiveThirtyEight considers the 3rd District to be Solidly Democratic this year. Their model predicts Davids (D) will win by a margin of 17%.
