The Most Recent Kansas Governor's Races

While Kansas hasn't elected a Democratic US Senator in more than 80 years, the state does sometimes elect Democratic Governors.

In 2010, Sam Brownback (R) beat Tom Holland (D) by 31%.

In 2014, Brownback (R) was reelected. He beat Paul Davis (D) by 4%.
 
Keen Umbehr (L) received 4% that year.

In 2018, Laura Kelly (D) beat Kris Kobach (R) by 5%.
 
Independent Candidate Greg Orman received 6.5%. Libertarian Candidate Jeff Caldwell received 2%. Another independent candidate, Rick Kloos, received 1%.
